Your Account

How do I create an account?

When you Save a Shopping Cart or Proceed to Checkout, you will arrive at a registration page. If you are a first time visitor, you will be asked to fill out a brief form. Your email address will become your user name for your account, and you will choose your own password.

Why do I need an account?

You will need an account to save items in a shopping cart or to place an order. It will also prevent you from having to re-enter all of your information with every purchase.

How can I change my information?

To change any account information, simply register, and click on "Update Account".

Ordering

How do I order?

There are two ways to add items to your shopping cart:

  • If you know the item number of the product you would like to add (for example, if you are ordering from one of our catalogs), simply enter it into the "Order Shortcut" box on the first page of the Products Catalog or inside the shopping cart. If you are using this feature, please enter the item number as three letters and four numbers, with no spaces or dashes.
  • You can search our online catalog for the product(s) you want. You can add each product to your cart from its individual description page or from the search results.

When you are ready to purchase the items in your cart, click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button.

Will sales tax be added to my order?

Sales tax will be added to all individual prepaid orders from the following states: CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, KY, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and VA. All orders from public schools from states other than CA and NC are tax exempt. If you are ordering with a school credit card or purchase order and your school/district is exempt from sales tax, please make sure you enter your tax ID number at checkout.

Which credit cards do you accept?

VISA and MasterCard.

Can I pay online with a purchase order (PO)?

Yes. In some cases you will be asked to provide a copy of your purchase order (PO) on your school or district letterhead.

Can I save items in my shopping cart and purchase them later?

Yes. Your shopping cart will be saved for 45 days. After that, if there has been no activity in your account, the shopping cart will be deleted.

How do I locate products on your site?

In order to find a specific product, you can conduct a search in our online product catalog. Search by product type, subject area, age/grade/level, series, topic, or keyword. If you know the item number for a product, enter it into the keyword search for more information.

How can I get more information about a product?

For each available title, you can download the table of contents and sample pages in PDF format. (You will need Acrobat Reader to download materials from our site. Click here to get it for free.) Products that contain a multimedia component (Multimedia Collections, TechTools) have sample audio or video clips. (To view the sample movies or listen to the sounds, you must have QuickTime installed. Click here to get it for free.)

How long will it take to receive my order?

Domestic Orders

Shell Educational Publishing ships all orders by FedEx for a 7-10 business day delivery time. We are located in Southern California. Please note we do not deliver to PO boxes. We do offer expedited shipping for an additional cost. Overnight and Second-Day deliveries are on Monday - Friday only (not on Saturday or Sunday). If your order will be delayed, we will contact you.

How much are shipping charges?

Add $4.50 for orders under $25.00; add 15% for orders $25.00 - $250.00; add 10% for orders over $250.00.

What is your return policy?

We take pride in creating quality products for your classroom. If you are not satisfied with any product, please return it within 90 days. We will issue a credit or refund your money—whichever you prefer. (Shipping charges are not refunded.)
